Hangzhou Asian Games handball stadium is the only competition venue in universities among the 12 newly built venues.

The facade of the handball hall is mainly gray white, and the main body is red, symbolizing sports. The white "water curtain" outside the venue falls slowly from the top. After the lights are on, the "water curtain" screen will show specific pictures. "Water curtain" actually has a sunshade layer, similar to the "shutter" set outside the building. It can not only make the venue cooler, but also improve the indoor visual comfort.

The roof of the handball hall adopts advanced beam string structure. The design team has made special analysis for the viewing experience and designed asymmetric two-sided stands. Every audience on the stand can see the position 1 meter above the sideline of the venue and get a good viewing experience. There is an independent air outlet under each seat in the venue, which is the temperature control system of the venue. The temperature of the air outlet can be adjusted according to the temperature of the venue, which makes it more comfortable to watch the game. After the game, the handball hall will be transformed into a comprehensive gymnasium for school education. At the same time, the main hall can also be transformed into basketball, volleyball and other competition venues.
