Team Overview

General
India are making their Asian Games debut in 3x3 basketball at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The senior Indian team were champions at the inaugural edition of the Asia Cup in 2013, securing the title with a 21-14 victory over Mongolia in the final. They finished fourth on their next Asia Cup appearance in 2017 after losing the third place match to the People's Republic of China. The Indians also competed at the tournament in 2019, 2022, and 2023, but did not progress to the knockout rounds.

India were gold medallists at the 2019 South Asian Games in Nepal.
