Team Overview
General
Nepal made their Asian Games debut in women's 3x3 basketball at Indonesia 2018, where U23 teams participated. After losing their three group games in Pool B to Japan, Chinese Taipei, and Mongolia, they finished ranked 14th.
The senior Nepali team took part in the inaugural Asia Cup [then the Asia championship] in 2013, when they were eliminated in the quarterfinals. They also competed at the inaugural senior World Cup [then the world championships] in 2012, finishing last of 24 teams.
Nepal participated as hosts of the 2019 South Asian Games and ranked third of three teams.
