In 2018 she struggled with a cartilage tear in one of her legs. She avoided surgery and underwent a rehabilitation process with physiotherapy. (skyria.in, 2020)

She was encouraged to try the sport by a physical education teacher at her school. "Our school used to host a lot of athletic events, and I used to watch international level players in my vicinity quite often. I was in grade two when my physical training teacher suggested to my father, who worked in the same school, to enrol me in sports events.
