FOCUS ON TRAINING
After struggling throughout his career with recurrent hamstring injuries, during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 he realised it was a posture issue and began focusing more on his fitness. "So all this while, whenever I sprained my hamstring muscles, I used to think that my hamstring was weak. But thanks to this break I found out that it's because of my back which isn't properly aligned. Also my adductor muscles and calf muscles need strengthening." (timesofindia.indiatimes.com, 20 May 2020)

TRAINING ABROAD
He feels training abroad and with foreign coaches has helped improve his training methods, technique and results as an athlete. He trained under Glen Mills in Jamaica for four months in 2014, and worked with US-based Nigerian coach Taiwo Ariyo at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India, in early 2018. "To better myself, I need to go abroad and compete with athletes who are running 100m at 9.9 or 10.1 seconds." (timesofindia.indiatimes.com, 26 Feb 2018; thehindu.com, 22 Jul 2017)
