WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STRUGGLE
He failed to progress from the heats at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, and believes the psychological impact of moving up from junior to senior level was a factor. "During the final 50 metres I felt tense. Initially in the first half we were all at the same position, but during that last 50 metres [US sprinter] Christian Coleman was at the front. I really wanted to catch up but I got tense. Perhaps it's more of a psychological factor. I already knew how strong the younger competitors were but, facing the seniors, I was tense. I think it is a lesson for me because not everything we want can be obtained quickly." (jawapos, 03 Oct 2019; sport, 29 Sep 2019)
