In August 2020 he made his professional boxing debut with a second-round stoppage win over compatriot Issa Akberbayev at the MTK Fight Night in Almaty, Kazakhstan. "To win a gold medal at the Olympics, you need to beat your opponents in such a way as to be a cut above them. If equal battles come out, then there is no one to blame - I will only blame myself for not being a cut above. Therefore, I try to take useful things from professional boxing in order to be better in amateur boxing.
