General
Maldives have competed at both editions of the Asian Games to have featured men's cricket. The team are yet to win a match at the Games.
In 2010 in Guangzhou, the Maldivians were drawn in Pool D alongside Hong Kong, China and Nepal. They lost their first match to Nepal by 75 runs, and were then beaten by seven wickets by the Hong Kongers. Four years later in Incheon, the Maldives team lost to Nepal again in their first match, this time by seven wickets. They lost their second group game against Kuwait on the toss of a coin after the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
