Team Overview

General
Uzbekistan are looking to secure their fourth consecutive Asian Games podium finish at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou. Having placed fifth on their debut in 2006, they claimed silver in 2010 and then won gold at the 2014 Games in Incheon. At Indonesia 2018, they were runners-up behind Kazakhstan.

The Uzbekistani team have competed at the last two editions of the Olympic Games but did not qualify for the final at either tournament. They were ranked 12th in Rio de Janeiro and finished ninth in Tokyo.

At the world championships, Uzbekistan competed for the first time in 2009. They have made a total of 11 appearances, with a best finish of 10th. At the most recent edition in Valencia, the Uzbekistani team placed 15th.
