REPRESENTING INDONESIA
Born in Germany to an Indonesian mother, she had the option of representing either Indonesia or Germany. She chose to represent the country of her mother's birth and began training with the Indonesian national team in 2019. She made her international debut at the 2021 South East Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam [which took place in May 2022], where she claimed the 50m backstroke title. "The reason I joined the Indonesian team was because my mother was born there. I had the option to compete for Germany, but I chose Indonesia. I am proud to represent Indonesia.
