"My triathlon journey merely started off as a fitness thing. I was a swimmer growing up. I began running because my father and brother ran marathons and I also got hooked on to it. I was trying to get fit after graduating from school in 2012 and joined the Ahmedabad Distance Runners group. We ran regularly and engaged in cross-training once a week when we cycled. If you are doing just one sport, it can get boring. It's a [form of] cross-training in itself. I like endurance activities. So, I found my calling here." TRAINING OVERSEAS
In 2023 she began training with coach James Beckinsale in London, England. Previously, she had spent time training in Spain and Australia between 2020 and 2022. "Ahmedabad [her home base in India] has good roads but there's a problem with traffic and now [speaking in 2022] the summer heat. I usually begin at 04:30 and cycle for three hours before the peak traffic builds up. I could train outdoors in the afternoon abroad, but I cannot do that here. In Spain, I trained with Eva Ledesma. In Australia, I had Sean Foster as my coach." (timesofindia.indiatimes.com, 02 Apr 2023, 02 Mar 2023; sportstar.thehindu.com, 29 Jul 2022; espn.in, 02 Jun 2022; triathlon.org, 14 May 2019)

My project is about training underprivileged girls in cycling and then donating them cycles. The whole idea is to enhance their educational and economic reach."
