She took up weightlifting in 2006. (tawa, Sep 2014)
:
She originally wanted to become a Muay Thai fighter like her father. She then took up weightlifting because she wanted to leave her village in Chumphon, Thailand, and attend a sports school. "I didn't want to do weightlifting because I was scared it would make me ugly, muscular. But I didn't have a choice. The main reason I started lifting is because I didn't want to be bored at home doing nothing. One day I was watching the 2004 Olympics and I saw [Thai weightlifter] Pawina Thongsuk win a gold medal. I told myself, 'I want to be like her'. That's when I made the decision, a really big decision." (asia, 22 Apr 2022; barbend, 03 May 2017)

General
RETURN TO COMPETITION
In November 2022 she spoke about her return to competition following a two-year ban for a doping violation. During her time away from the sport between January 2019 and January 2021, she established a pet food restaurant in Pathum Thani Province, Thailand. "There was a question in my head. Shall I go on? Is it possible at this age? But I didn't want to stop serving because of the name attached to the doping test. I didn't want to disappear because of this reason." (stadiumth, 04 Nov 2022)

SANCTION
In January 2019 the International Weightlifting Federation [IWF] announced that she had tested positive for a banned substance in a sample she provided at the 2018 World Championships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. She was banned for two years between 18 Jan 2019 and 17 Jan 2021. (barbend, 24 Jan 2019, IWF, 18 Jan 2019)

FURTHER EDUCATION
She has studied for a master's degree in business administration at North Chiang Mai University in Thailand. (Facebook profile, 21 Nov 2022)
