Hanoi, Vietnam, May 19, 2016: Vietnam is ready to welcome National Olympic Committees from around Asia for the Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 5th Asian Beach Games-Danang 2016. The final preparations for the June 1 CDM Seminar were discussed and approved following a meeting with Mr. Vuong Bich Thang, General Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration.

All documents relating to technical matters have been prepared by the Sport and Technical Sub-Committee, in addition to IT, media and communications and other areas by the various departments.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vuong stressed that, in order to conduct a successful CDM Seminar, organising committee DABGOC in general and the Operations Center in particular must work closely with the local organising committee of Danang city and the relevant government ministries related to security, protocol and accommodation.

The agenda will also include the sports programme, accreditation, ceremonies, competition venues and transportation among other things.

The CDM Seminar is considered as an opportunity for Danang to promote the city and the natural beauty of the coastline, as well as traditional Vietnamese culture and hospitality, to such an international gathering from all five zones of the OCA. The 5th Asian Beach Games will run from September 24 to October 3 with 14 sports, 22 disciplines and 172 events at four venue clusters, 7km apart, along the bay.
